Van Winkle will shut its doors on March 30 for a £275,000 revamp, before reopening as Gael & Grain - which promises a unique take on classic Scottish comfort food.

Van Winkle, formerly known as McPhabbs, on Sandyford Place, will serve its last drinks on March 30 before undergoing a revamp.

The Lomond Leisure Group, which operates five hospitality venues in Scotland, is set to invest £275,000 in a revamp of the Van Winkle bar on Sandyford Place in Glasgow with Star Pubs.
